| Practice Overview
Established in 1979, our practice, now known as Children's
Community Pediatrics Waterdam, is devoted to the medical
and developmental care of infants, children and adolescents ages
birth through 21. Our physicians received their training at some
of the most prestigious College/Medical Schools and hospitals throughout
the country. Each is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics
and has many years of experience caring for children.
In 1996 we partnered with Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh
and four other well-established community pediatric practices to
create Children's Community Pediatrics. Our practice now has three female physicians, a female nurse practitioner and three male physicians a real benefit for our adolescent patients. We give our patients
the option to choose one particular physician in our practice, but
we strive to provide consistent care by working together as a team,
consulting frequently with each other.
We believe in preventive health care, with a strong emphasis on patient and parent education. We follow the recommendations of the American Board of Pediatrics for routine check-ups, immunizations, diagnostic screenings and appropriate counseling at each age period, from birth through adolescence. Our staff provides the high quality pediatric and adolescent primary care you expect from a Children's Hospital affiliate. In addition to our experience with acute and chronic medical problems, our medical staff is educated and trained to provide expertise in several areas.
