We would like to invite families throughout the tristate region to learn about the new Children's Hospital - a one-of-a-kind facility filled with space, light, and color that embodies a place of healing for children and families.

Children's consistently is counted among the top children's hospitals in the country by U.S.News & World Report. In 2008, the hospital was recognized as one of the safest pediatric hospitals in the nation by the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, the premier hospital patient safety evaluation tool. Our research program receives millions in grant funding each year from the National Institutes of Health, meaning some of the cures of tomorrow are being developed right here in western Pennsylvania, today.

Children's is within an easy drive of most of the region's major interstates, and the campus is easy to navigate. Importantly, Children's offers ample parking on campus, and our garages connect to the hospital by an elevator or sheltered walkway.

We believe it is important to ensure a child's hospital visit - whether for a quick doctor's appointment or an overnight stay - is as comfortable as possible. Most patient rooms are private and offer a sleeping surface so parents can stay with their sick child. Wi-Fi is available, enabling families to stay connected. Solariums, libraries and a terrace garden offer needed respites.
