License Information

In Pennsylvania, a graduate or registered nurse may begin their employment after obtaining a Temporary Practice Permit (TPP) or license. For nurses who are licensed with another state, a TPP can generally be issued within several weeks. With a TPP, a nurse is eligible to practice nursing in Pennsylvania for one calendar year until they obtain a permanent license.
