Practice Overview

In 1958 James K. Greenbaum, MD, the first pediatrician in Armstrong County, established our practice. Now known as Children's Community Pediatrics – Armstrong, we are devoted to the medical care of infants, children, adolescents and young adults. Our mission is to assist you with the care of your sick children and advise you about their health and development. In addition to practicing general pediatrics, our physicians are on staff at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital where we attend high-risk deliveries and care for premature or ill newborns and hospitalized infants and children.

In 1996 Armstrong Pediatrics partnered with Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and four other well-established community pediatric practices to create Children's Community Pediatrics. Today, Children's Community Pediatrics – Armstrong has eleven pediatricians, one physician assistant and one nurse practitioner serving patients in two offices located in Kittanning and Sarver. Our physicians also staff the Armstrong Primary Care Centers in Elderton and Leechburg. In all of our sites, we care for patients ages birth through 21 and offer the high quality pediatric and adolescent primary care you expect from a Children's Hospital affiliate.

In addition to our experience with acute and chronic medical problems, our medical staff is educated and trained to provide expertise in several areas.
